Curriculum Linkage

Curriculum Linkages

As a separate curriculum, environmental studies (EVS) is provided at a number of elementary schools. To teach EVS topics, the Eco-Schools methodology might be simply used. Additionally, schools may decide to incorporate and cover ideas related to other topic areas.

The learning indicators in EVS are process-oriented, according to the paper for classes 3-5 that was created in acknowledgment of the RTE Act, 2009. It also states that while the indicators are similar across classes 3-5, the level of complexity varies.
